Subies of the Corn started the tradition of collecting toys for Toys for Tots and collected over 500 toys during the Fill-a-Forester event, part of Subaru Loves to Help®.
We hosted a couple of cruises, introducing members to more iconic locations along Route 66 and exploring the beautiful State Parks in our area.
2019 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise

Subies of the Corn organized a cruise from Hawk Subaru to River Hawk Brewing to deliver the toys. The toy delivery was kept a secret from RHB owners and you can imagine their surprise when three Foresters, loaded with toys pulled up and started off loading.
SOTC delivered enough toys that the Marine Corp Reserve had to make a 2nd trip back to brewery with a larger truck to bring everything back to the base.

The Inaugural Fill-a-Forester event, collecting toys for Toys for Tots, as part of Subies Loves to Help®. Subies of the Corn Filled-a-Forester with over 500 toys in our first year!
All attendees donating toys for the event received Subaru gear, courtesy of Hawk Subaru, and had their name entered into a raffle. One lucky winner brought home an official Subaru Rally Team USA Table Cloth, used by the SRTUSA at their events. The table cloth was donated by Subies of the Corn.
2019 Day Fur the Dogs

River Hawk Brewing hosted their 2019 Day Fur the Dogs event and Subies of the Corn was on hand for the festivities.
River Hawk Brewing has been so supportive of SOTC and this was our way to show our support at their event.
Subaru Ambassador Dog, Rallie Pleia was on hand, passing out tons of kisses!
2019 Subies of the Corn Starved Rock Cruise

Subies of the Corn hosted a “pick up” cruise starting at Hawk Subaru in Joliet. From there we cruised to Morris, Seneca, and Marseilles as we picked up additional Subarus for the journey to Starved Rock.
While at Starved Rock, we ate lunch at the historic Starved Rock Lodge Restaurant, before departing and exploring the park.
2019 Subies of the Corn Memorial Day Cruise

Subies of the Corn hosted a Memorial Day Cruise, which took us along Historic Route 66. The highlight of the cruise was visit to the Coal City Fire Station #2 to see the 9/11 Memorial Beams. Two beams from the towers represent the towers themselves and there are a few bricks that represent the surrounding streets.
