Subies of the Corn got creative with events in 2020, with Covid lockdowns in place. Social distanced events and masks became the norm, but we continued to focus on the events, centered around the Subaru Love Promise®.
We collected over 400 toys for Toys for Tots and hosted three cruises, with the Contactless Cruise being our largest cruise event.
2020 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise
December 12-13, 2020
Subies of the Corn hosted the Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise to deliver the collected toys to the Marine Corps Reserve. SOTC partnered with River Hawk Brewing, who arranged to have the Marine Corps on site to accept the donated toys.
The cruise was enjoyed by all and it was rewarding to see the toys headed to the Reserve Base to get sorted and distributed to children in our area.

Covid restrictions placed us in the cold & rain for the 2020 Fill-a-Forester, but that didn’t put a damper on the generosity of SOTC members. In total, we collected over 400 toys and helped us Fill-a-Forester!
Everyone making a toy donation received a long-sleeved Subaru shirt, compliments of Hawk Subaru.
2020 Suds-n-Subies Birthday Cruise

With COVID restrictions still in place, SOTC hosted a cruise to celebrate a surprise birthday party for one of our members by conducting a drive-by of his house, with the help of his fiance.
After the cruise, we celebrated at River Hawk Brewing in a safe and social-distanced event.
2020 Subies of the Corn Contactless Cruise

Subies of the Corn hosted a Contactless cruise during the height of the Covid lockdowns. 73 cars ventured out to drive the fun and windy roads in our area.
This was a completely social distanced event, with everyone staying in their own vehicle. With the limited social interactions due to the lockdowns, the contactless cruise was the perfect solution to celebrate with our Subies!
