Subies of the Corn celebrated our 5-year Anniversary on July 25, 2022 and hosted our largest Fill-a-Forester event to date, collecting over 1,700 toys for Toys for Tots.
We created and hosted three signature events: Fill-a-Forester, Trunk or Treat, and the 2022 Scavenger Hunt, which raised $3,000 for MorningStar Mission.
2022 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise

Subies of the Corn hosted a toy delivery cruise from Hawk Subaru to the Marine Corp Reserve Base in Joliet.
SOTC members were allowed to back our loaded Foresters into the sorting area, placing our toys into the bins, which were sorted by age. The Marines also brought out some Humvee’s for us to climb on and pose for photos.
2022 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toys for Tots Toy Drive

The 2022 Fill-a-Forester was the largest toy collection event to date for SOTC, collecting 1,702 toys for Toys for Tots!
Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue and The Dainty Meow brought dogs and cats available for adoption. Two dogs and two cats were adopted during the event, and another 5 cat adoption applications were accepted.
2022 Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat
October 22, 2022
Subies of the Corn filled Hawk Subaru’s parking lot with decorated vehicles and handed out candy to the ghouls and goblins trick or treating.
Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue and The Dainty Meow brought dogs and cats available for adoption. Winifred an 11-week old hound mix puppy, found her fur-ever home.
SOTC presented Wags to Wishes with a donation of $330, which was raised during the event in honor of Subaru Loves Pets®.
2022 Operation Firm Handshake

Subies of the Corn provided a helping hand at the 2022 Operation Firm Handshake Veterans Picnic. The picnic is free for all Veterans and their families.
Subies of the Corn was onsite to lend a hand with setup/teardown and supported the event by providing media coverage, both in pictures and aerial drone videos.
2022 Subies of the Corn + Rescue Adoption Event

Subies of the Corn partnered with Hawk Subaru, SAYv Animal Organization, and Catnip from the Heart to host a pet adoption event in conjunction with Subaru Loves Pets®.
Plenty of Subarus were on display and 1 dog and 4 cats found their furever homes!
2022 FL4TFest
August 6, 2022
Subies of the Corn hosted two booths at FL4TFest in Madison, WI and organized a vendor Scavenger Hunt to give participants a chance to win amazing prizes from the vendors in attendance.
Between the off-road playground, autocross course and the booths, it was a very busy day. SMUSA driver Scott Speed, even gave a coaching session to SOTC Co-Founder, J. Mykel Hill on the Autocross Course.
2022 Subies of the Corn MorningStar Mission Check Distribution Cruise

In conjunction with the Subaru Ambassador Day of Caring, Subies of the corn presented MorningStar Mission with a check for $3,000. Keeping with Subaru Loves to Help®, this donation will provide meals and care for 1,200 people in the Will County Area.
Subies of the Corn organized a cruise from Hawk Subaru to Morningstar Mission and after delivering the check, lunch was at MyGrain Brewing, in the historic Joliet Train Station.
2022 Subies of the Corn Scavenger Hunt, benefiting MorningStar Mission

The 2022 Subies of the Corn Scavenger Hunt raised $3,000 for MorningStar Mission, as part of Subaru Loves to Help®. There were 31 Subarus in attendance and the route took attendees on a 115 mile adventure.
Locations that were visited during the SOTC Scavenger Hunt included State Parks and historic buildings along Route 66. Everyone participating received a Seven Sisters Bomber, which was brewed specifically for this event by River Hawk Brewing.
