Subies of the Corn has collected and donated 1,067 pounds of food as part of Subaru Loves to Help® to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Subies of the Corn contributed $1,000 to FL4TFest charities, benefiting AmFam Children’s Hospital and Dane County Humane Society. Furthermore, a $356 donation was made to Dainty Meow in support of Subaru Loves Pets®, and an additional $356, along with a trunk full of school supplies, was donated to the Greater Joliet Area YMCA through the Trunk or Treat event.
On Earth Day 2023, Subies of the Corn collected and recycled 4,942 plastic grocery bags, keeping 77.7 pounds of hard-to-recycle plastic out of our landfills, as our part for Subaru Loves the Earth®.
Additionally, we have collected and donated 500 pairs of socks, 181 toiletry kits, 81 long-sleeved shirts, 50 towel/washcloth sets, and 10 folding hampers to those experiencing homelessness in our communities.
2023 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toys for Tots Order Fulfillment

Subies of the Corn was invited to assist the US Marine Corps Reserve fulfill toy request orders.
At the end of the day, Subies of the Corn was presented with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Commander’s Award in recognition of our dedicated support for the Weapons Company 2/24 Marine Toys for Tots Program.
2023 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise

Subies of the Corn members braved the cold to deliver the toys collected at the 2023 Fill-a-Forester directly to the US Marine Corps Reserve Base.
The route took the 20+ Subarus on an adventure through the scenic area roads. After the toys were sorted by age, the Marines brought out some of their Humvees for us to see up close.

The 5th Annual Fill-a-Forester Toy Drive helped us collect over 1,300 toys for Toys for Tots, demonstrating how Subies of the Corn Loves to Help®.
These toys will be distributed to children in Will, Grundy, and Kendall counties. With this year’s contributions, the total number of toys collected over the past five years now stands at over 4,500.
2023 Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat

The 3rd Annual Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat was held at Hawk Subaru, where enthusiastic SOTC members decked out their Subarus to entertain local ghosts and goblins, creating a hauntingly delightful experience.
In the spirit of Subaru Loves Pets®, SOTC raised $356, which was then generously donated to Dainty Meow. Furthermore, an additional $356 and a trunk filled with essential school supplies were contributed to the Greater Joliet Area YMCA, extending support for Subaru Loves Learning®.
2023 FL4TFest Overland Adventure

Subies of the Corn spent 3 days off-roading and exploring the Michigan Upper Peninsula, all while helping to raise money for the FL4TFest Charities.
Lots of miles and plenty of smiles on this trip. Marion Lake Campground in the Ottawa National Forest served as home for this adventure.

Subies of the Corn hosts a booth at Subiefest Midwest and collected supplies for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA.
SOTC members raced in autocross or participated in the car show, and everyone had a great time with their Subaru family.
2023 Operation Firm Handshake

Subies of the Corn volunteered their time to assist Operation Firm Handshake for their 10th Annual Free Picnic for Veterans and their families.
SOTC helped organize and setup the vendor area, served as the event photographers, and showed off the versatility of Subaru in the car show.

As part of Subaru Loves to Help® Love Promise, Subies of the Corn collected and donated 1,067 pounds of food to Northern Illinois Food Bank, on the Subaru Ambassador’s Day of Caring.
The donated food provided 890 meals to those in northern Illinois experiencing food insecurity.

These hard to recycle items are not accepted through standard recycling outlets. As part of Subaru Love the Earth® initiative, this event drives awareness and helps reduce and/or eliminate single-use items from filling our landfills.

Through the Subaru Love Promise®, Subies of the Corn took action by partnering with MorningStar Mission Ministries to deliver items to those in need on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
SOTC delivered 500 pairs of socks, 181 toiletry kits, 70 long-sleeve shirts, 50 towels, 48 washcloths, & 10 folding hampers to MorningStar, which will provide an immediate impact to those experiencing homelessness!
