Subies of the Corn continues to Share the Love® in 2024. Our Fill-a-Forester Toy Drive collected over 1,900 toys for Toys for Tots. SOTC helped almost 500 area children receive warm coats and socks, as part of Subaru Loves to Help®.
On Earth Day, our members collected over 6,000 plastic grocery bags as part of Subaru Loves the Earth® during the Stuff-a-Solterra event. As part of Subaru Loves to Help®, the plastic bags were upcycled into sleeping pads for the homeless.
Our annual Food Drive helped us collect and deliver over 1,700 pounds of food to help bring some relief to those experiencing food insecurities.
2024 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toys for Tots Order Fulfillment

For the second consecutive year, Subies of the Corn proudly partnered with the US Marine Corps Reserve to support their mission of fulfilling toy requests.
The team was honored to assist by sorting incoming toy donations and preparing orders for delivery just in time for the holiday season.
2024 Suds-n-Subies Toys for Tots Toy Drive at RT66 Old School Brewing

Subies of the Corn hosted the December Suds-n-Subies at RT66 Old School Brewing in conjunction with their Toys for Tots Toy Drive.
The collected toys were delivered to the Marine Corps Reserve Base to be distributed to area children during the Holiday season.
2024 Subies of the Corn Places Wreaths for Wreaths Across America at North / Union Cemeteries

Subies of the Corn participated in Wreaths Across America, laying wreaths in honor of our Nation’s Veterans.
SOTC members Marsha Mayville Jancsovics served as the event’s official Bugler. Allen Troz Spensley placed a remembrance wreath to honor those who served in the United States Air Force, while J. Mykel Hill did the same for the United States Coast Guard.
2024 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise

Subies of the Corn members enjoyed unseasonably warm day delivering toys collected at the 2024 Fill-a-Forester directly to the US Marine Corps Reserve Base.
The route took the 15+ Subarus on an adventure through the scenic area roads. After the toys were sorted by age, the Marines brought out some of their Humvees for us to see up close.

The 6th Annual Fill-a-Forester Toy Drive helped us collect over 1,900 toys for Toys for Tots, demonstrating how Subies of the Corn Loves to Help®.
These toys will be distributed to children in Will, Grundy, and Kendall counties. With this year’s contributions, the total number of toys collected over the past six years now stands at over 6,400.
2024 SOTC Helps Locate and Mark Veteran Graves for Wreaths Across America

Subies of the Corn teamed up with Subaru of America’s Central Regional Office to locate and mark veteran graves at Union Cemetery and North Cemetery in St. Charles in preparation for the Wreaths Across America event this December.
Together, we identified and marked over 600 veteran graves—some dating back to the Civil War—ensuring each one will receive a wreath on December 14, 2024, to honor their service and sacrifice.
2024 Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat

The 4th Annual Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat was held at Hawk Subaru, where enthusiastic SOTC members decked out their Subarus to entertain local ghosts and goblins, creating a hauntingly delightful experience.
In the spirit of Subaru Loves Pets®, Hawk Subaru and SOTC partnered with SAYv Animal Organization to host an adoption event. More than 40 dogs and cats were up for adoption, with 10 animals already receiving adoption applications toward their forever homes.
Subies of the Corn Donates Blankets for the 2024 Make a Dog’s Day

Subies of the Corn celebrated Subaru’s National Make A Dog’s Day by donating 18 blankets to the Grundy County Animal Control. These blankets will help provide comfort to pets separated from their families and those awaiting adoption.
The donation took place during Subaru Loves Pets® Month and SOTC is honored to demonstrate our love for pets!
Subies of the Corn Sponsors Ta Ta Trot 5K Fun Run/Walk

Subies of the Corn sponsored the 2024 Ta Ta Trot, by donating $150, benefiting Riverside Medical Cancer Foundation.
The Ta Ta Trot pledges that “We will never stop FIGHTING until we find a CURE for Breast Cancer”. SOTC was proud to sponsor the event and participate in the Fun Run/Walk. The highlight for us was walking with a Breast Cancer Survivor.
Subies of the Corn Loves to Care Project Fire Buddies Donation

Subies of the Corn attended a fundraiser for Project Fire Buddies, donating $100 to support their mission to ensure no child fights alone.
Project Fire Buddies is a firefighter-led charity and their chapters focus on building relationships with their fire buddies. Members of PFB visit Fire Buddies in their homes, often times arriving in a parade of fire vehicles with lights blazing and sirens blaring. They bring gifts for birthdays and holidays, play games, and attend important events in the children’s lives.
2024 Subies of the Corn Loves Learning School Supply Drive / Donation

Subies of the Corn and our members collected school supplies for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA Before/After School program.
These supplies help students to thrive before and after school, while also providing a safe environment.
2024 Subiefest Midwest
September 8. 2024
Subies of the Corn hosts a booth at Subiefest Midwest, showcasing the charitable aspects of the organization. During the event, SOTC members crafted a sleeping pad for area homeless by upcycling plastic grocery bags into Plarn.
School supplies we collected for the Greater Joliet Area YMCA and pink member shirts were sold, with the profits benefiting those battling and surviving breast cancer.
2024 Operation Firm Handshake

Subies of the Corn volunteered their time to assist Operation Firm Handshake for their 11th Annual Free Picnic for Veterans and their families.
SOTC helped organize and setup the vendor area, served as the event photographers, and showed off the versatility of Subaru in the car show.
2024 FL4TFest
August 3, 2024
Subies of the Corn hosts a booth at FL4TFest to help raise money for the American Family Children’s Hospital and the Dane County Humane Society.
SOTC donated $1,000 to FL4TFest to help support the event and charities. Additionally, SOTC collected school supplies and donations to purchase school supplies, which will be distributed to the Greater Joliet Area YMCA in October.
2024 Subies of the Corn Loves to Care Blanket & Patient Care Kit Delivery

As part of Subaru Loves to Care®, Subies of the Corn partnered with Hawk Subaru to deliver blankets and patient care kits to the Fox River Cancer Center to help provide warmth, love, and support to those facing cancer.
These small tokens of comfort are meant to remind patients that they are not alone in their fight.
2024 Subies of the Corn Loves to Help Food Drive & Delivery Cruise

As part of Subaru Loves to Help®, Subies of the Corn hosted the 2nd Annual Food Drive and Delivery Cruise, collecting/donating 1,712 pounds of food to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Our donation will provide 1,434 meals for those in our area experiencing food insecurity.
After gathering at Hawk Subaru, SOTC members loaded the collected food into their Subarus and headed out for a winding 70-mile cruise to deliver the food to the food bank.
2024 Subies of the Corn Loves to Help Sleeping Pad Crafting Event

Subies of the Corn partnered with Hawk Subaru to upcycle the plastic grocery bags collected at the Stuff-a-Solterra event into sleeping pads for the homeless.
The plastic bags were converted to Plarn (plastic yarn) strips and wove into the sleeping pads. Each sleeping pad requires 800-1000 plastic bags to construct. A total of 6 sleeping pads were donated to Midwest Mission to aid those in need of a barrier between them and the hard ground.
2024 Subies of the Corn Stuff-a-Solterra Earth Day Awareness Event

Subies of the Corn partnered with Hawk Subaru for the 2nd Annual Stuff-a-Solterra and our members collected over 6,000 plastic grocery bags, completely Stuffing-a-Solterra!
This event kept over 90 pounds of hard to recycle plastic from entering our landfills and the bags will be upcycled into sleeping pads for the homeless at a future event.
2024 Subies of the Corn Loves to Help Coat & Sock Distribution

Subies of the Corn partnered with Hawk Subaru, Operation Warmth, and the Will County Center for Community Concerns to distribute 480 coats and 500 pairs of socks to area children in need.
These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, they can have a significant impact on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.
