To date in 2025, Subies of the Corn led three impactful initiatives through Subaru’s “Loves to Help” and “Loves the Earth” programs. In January, our members partnered with Hawk Subaru, Operation Warm, and the Will County Center for Community Concerns to distribute 150 coats, 150 pairs of shoes, and winter essentials to children in need.
In April, members joined Hawk Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation to donate and distribute over 150 trees to local residents, supporting long-term environmental health.
In June, our 3rd Annual Canned Food Drive with the Northern Illinois Food Bank collected 1,328 pounds of food, providing over 1,100 meals.
2025 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toys for Tots Toy Drive
December 7, 2025
Subies of the Corn members enjoyed a winter wonderland delivering toys collected at the 2025 Fill-a-Forester directly to the US Marine Corps Reserve Base.
The route took the 10+ Subarus on an adventure through the scenic area roads. At the Marine Corps base, the team separated the toys by age and gender for distribution.
2025 Subies of the Corn Fill-a-Forester Toy Delivery Cruise

The 7h Annual Fill-a-Forester Toy Drive helped us collect over 1,200 toys for Toys for Tots, demonstrating how Subies of the Corn Loves to Help®.
These toys will be distributed to children in Will, Grundy, and Kendall counties. With this year’s contributions, the total number of toys collected over the past six years now stands at over 7,600.
2025 Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat

The 5th Annual Subies of the Corn Trunk or Treat was held at Hawk Subaru, where SOTC members transformed their Subarus into festive Halloween displays, creating a fun, family-friendly afternoon.
In the spirit of Subaru Loves Pets®, Hawk Subaru and SOTC partnered with SAYv Animal Organization to host an on-site adoption event featuring more than 40 dogs and cats, resulting in 6 adoptions and 8 additional adoption applications.
Subies of the Corn Sponsors Ta Ta Trot 5K Fun Run/Walk

Subies of the Corn was proud to sponsor the 2025 Ta Ta Trot for the second year, donating $150 in support of the Riverside Medical Cancer Foundation.
The Ta Ta Trot’s mission says it best: “We will never stop FIGHTING until we find a CURE for Breast Cancer.”
We were honored not only to sponsor the event but also to take part in the Fun Run/Walk. The highlight of the day was walking alongside a Breast Cancer Survivor, a powerful reminder of why this cause matters.
Subies of the Corn Loves to Care Project Fire Buddies Donation

Subies of the Corn was honored to participate in a recent fundraiser supporting Project Fire Buddies, donating $100 to advance the organization’s mission of ensuring that no child faces their battle alone.
Project Fire Buddies is a firefighter-led charity and their chapters focus on building relationships with their fire buddies. Members of PFB visit Fire Buddies in their homes, often times arriving in a parade of fire vehicles with lights blazing and sirens blaring. They bring gifts for birthdays and holidays, play games, and attend important events in the children’s lives.
2025 Subiefest Midwest

Subies of the Corn hosted a booth at this year’s Subiefest Midwest, welcoming both longtime members and new faces to celebrate community, cars, and the charitable spirit that defines SOTC.
This year, our focus was on raising money for breast cancer awareness and support. Our booth team proudly wore SOTC Charity Shirts as a symbol of unity and dedication to the cause, and the response from attendees was truly inspiring.
2025 Subies of the Corn Loves Learning School Supplies Distribution
September 24, 2025
Subies of the Corn partnered with Hawk Subaru to recognize 10 teachers at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Each teacher was presented with a Subaru Loves Learning® School Supply box containing much needed school supplies.
Additionally, Hawk Subaru presented each selected teacher with a monetary donation to further assist with purchasing school supplies for their classroom.
2025 Operation Firm Handshake

Subies of the Corn was honored to volunteer with Operation Firm Handshake for their 12th Annual Free Picnic for Veterans and their families. This incredible event provided an opportunity to give back to those who have served, while creating a welcoming space for veterans and their loved ones to come together.
Our members assisted in setting up the vendor area, served as event photographers. It was a day filled with community spirit, gratitude, and the reminder that our Veterans and their families are appreciated for the service to this great nation.
2025 FL4TFest Celebration
August 9, 2025
Subies of the Corn hosted a booth at FL4TFest to support the American Family Children’s Hospital and the Dane County Humane Society. This year, SOTC donated $500 to help the event and its charities continue their important work.
Additionally, SOTC collected school supplies and monetary contributions to purchase even more supplies. These will be distributed to the Greater Joliet Area YMCA, helping local children in the Before/After School Program.
2025 Subies of the Corn Loves to Care Blanket & Patient Care Kit Delivery

As part of the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, Subies of the Corn joined forces with Hawk Subaru to deliver blankets and patient care kits to the Fox River Cancer Center. These thoughtful gifts are a small gesture with a big purpose: to provide warmth, love, and encouragement to those bravely battling cancer.
Every blanket and care kit is a reminder that no one fights alone.
2025 Subies of the Corn Loves Pets Microchip Reader Donation
July 3, 2025
Subies of the Corn donate microchip readers to the Coal City and Wilmington Police Departments in honor of Subaru Loves Pets®. These handheld devices allow officers to quickly scan and identify lost pets in the field, even during nights, weekends, or holidays when veterinary offices may be closed.
The donated microchip readers provides law enforcement the ability to access microchip data on the spot and help reunite pets with their families more efficiently.
2025 Subies of the Corn Loves to Help Canned Food Drive & Delivery Cruise

Subies of the Corn hosted their 3rd Annual Canned Food Drive and Delivery Cruise to benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank. With strong support from club members, the event successfully collected and donated 1,328 pounds of food.
This generous contribution will help provide approximately 1,106 meals to individuals and families in our area who are experiencing food insecurity.

Subies of the Corn joined forces with Hawk Subaru and the Arbor Day Foundation to help make a lasting impact on the environment. In total, over 150 trees were donated to local residents, with SOTC members on-site volunteering and assisting with the giveaway.
These trees will do more than just beautify neighborhoods. Once planted, they’ll help provide clean oxygen, cool surrounding areas, purify water, improve air quality, reduce flooding, and support overall community health, benefiting generations to come.

Subies of the Corn joined forces with Hawk Subaru, Operation Warm, and the Will County Center for Community Concerns to make a difference in the lives of local children. Together, we distributed: 150 coats, 150 pairs of shoes, 300 pairs of socks, 300 winter hats, and 300 pairs of mittens.
These essential items not only shield children from the harsh winter weather, keeping them warm and dry, but they also have a profound impact on their mental and emotional well-being.
